Really nice job of this Al.
I've been playing this one for quite a while now, but I have not looked at Neil's lesson for it yet.
It seemed slow to me, especially in the chorus. As I recall, the guitar doubles his strum during the chorus.
Other than that, a really smooth performance of it.
Busking Bread
Al,that sounded really good and this accompaniment too the lyrics aint boring at all,,just great,,,bread have my attension,,glad you ddi this,,
To hIGH??? A friend of my in past(she is a very good singer) and when i say this is to high she alway's said no this is'nt high at all,,,but i can imagine when you listen to Bread and try to sing along you can get the feeling it is to high,,of course people have there range but you can work on that by singin tone scales in that key,or intervals,,or make your own scale in that key,,or just practise the melody of this song(one hit from that chord and sing the melody in it) and you can alway's transpose,,,important thing with singin is to keep the breathe low in the belly and hold it there and lose it slowly and relax to throat but don't think to much on it you only have to be a bit knowingly on that,,some people are naturals,,,,,gee ,,, did i say that,,,

Al,
Very nice job! Your guitar sounds very crisp and clear and your picking in the beginning and throughout is very good (I am jealous). Man that is a high one to sing though when you get around to it - maybe practice to this video a bunch first and see how it goes - you can always move that capo down a slot or two?. I always liked Bread - never learned a single one - but I like a lot of them and now I would certainly be in line to learn some - just about anything off the Best of Bread album. Not sure where I would work them in right now - so many things I want to learn now and only so many hours in a day. Thanks for posting this and keep it up!

Great to have you back busking Al!
Very, very nice job indeed as everyone has noted great transitions and over all very well played. Were you listening to something as you played along as your timing seemed very accurate (something I find harder to do on slow songs). It is impossible to sing in this key, that's for sure. You could always drop the capo down a few notches or remove it and sing along ... but then you'd have to record it again!
EDIT. PS: Have you tried using middle and ring finger on the brush up instead of the index? Works much better for me: Down with the index nail, up with pads of middle and ring.

Very Nice Al, and good to see you back to posting. Your sound is perfect as always and your playing of this is top notch. As others have mentioned the transitions from strumming to picking and back are great. Yep, I could see how singing this would be difficult but as Chris mentioned you could always capo down a key or two. While I don’t think it’s boring as it is it would be great to get some vocals in there if you could.
