It’s nice to see some new wind in the sails of this thread.
In this day of emails, texting and instant messages it understandable that commenting on something that is physically traversing the world may go quiet for a while.
I suppose that makes it that much more special. Before I go further on that let me comment and answer some questions regarding my post.
Cori – Thanks for the kind words. That was Greg Lake’s “Still You Turn Me On” so you’re right on the money with it being prog rock. Good ear! Of course I would have preferred that you recognized it! LOL .. but I didn’t play much and it is a bit obscure.
Regarding where it’s going next and how to sign up, take a look at the tentative list in the first post in this thread.
Willem – Thanks for watching. Your comment reminds me of a picture postcard I once got from a friend. I was a satellite photo of the planet Earth. On the back he simply wrote
“Wish you were here” Maybe he was onto something!
I’m happy it brought back some good memories for you.
Scott – Indeed this made my Thanksgiving special. Thanks for watching and the comments. Oh and nice to see that you recognized it. Judging by some of the other comments it seems to have escaped many.
Suzi – I totally agree. Recording a little guitar playing along with the signing should be mandatory!!! Well, perhaps that’s asking a bit much

…
I live Queens NY. It may not be Manhattan proper but it is New York City. I have a friend with property in Binghamton. Beautiful part of NY. Thanks for the kind comments.
Dan – Thanks for the comments. I know what a Greg Lake fan you are so that means a lot. The Sage is next from GL’s playlist.
Yep, a whole SNL themed video could have been fun and I thought about it. I guess I didn’t want to stray much from the spirit of the Banner signing.
Thanks
Tony. You know, I looked at that big gap in the middle and came this close *holds fingers together* from signing smack dab in the center but when the cap came off the pen I veered towards the guitars. Besides, maybe we’re saving that spot for you
Dermot – Thanks for the kind comments. Actually I zoomed the banner out in the beginning and in at the end at the same speed. When I played it back it seemed way to slow at the end so I sped that up by 300%.
I’m not certain who’s next, I’m just starting to PM people. There’s a few left in NY and from there it’s Jersey bound!
Thanks
Chas. The effects I’m using are deep chorus and med-short reverb. The effects come from the Behringer mixer I’m using. I use it mostly for vocals but I sent a little thru to the guitar.
For this I sent the mixer output directly into a camcorders input (thus the headphones) rather than an amp but it’s amazing what you can do with the mixer’s effects when amplified.
Chris - Thanks for watching. I‘m very happy to be here
Thanks
Pete. Cool is always good in my book!
Bob – Thanks for the kind words. I agree it’s nice to see the banner continuing on its journey. It’s something we’ll be able to savor for some time to come.
Ness – Thanks so much for the flattering remarks. I’m very happy to make you smile. God knows you’ve brought countless hours of smiles and Oh’s and Ah’s to all of us here. You words mean a lot to me.
Michele – I’m happy to see you were able to catch-up. Boy do I know busy and that why I was so lucky to be able to get the banner when I had a little free time. Thanks for the kind words about my addition to this.
