Well if they'd had móre 4-chord-songs I would have!
But the thread says 3 or 4 chords, otherwise the list would be much longer, not sure if Shel can be persuaded to change that..... :silly:

The idea is that there are lots of fun, really cool songs that are deceptively easy and only have 3 or 4 chords.
But, you can put any other simple stuff down Nessa - just identify it as such so anyone watching this thread knows which are 3/4 and which are 5/6
Suzi - Midnight Train to Georgia is a 6-er.

Great list. No Beatles?
Thank to everyone who's put up suggestions, I'll definitely check them out as I'm sure will others.
Thanks.
Btw - I put this thread up because I suspect that I'm not the only one that will benefit from it.
Sure I'm game!
favorites.....hmmm.....:
Peaceful Easy Feeling - Eagles
Leaving on a Jetplane - John Denver
Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
Blaze of Glory - Bon Jovi
Hard letting you go - Bon Jovi
One - U2
Father Figure - George Michael
Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams
Hey there Delilah
Running to stand still - U2
As tears go by - Stones

Hmmm....just 3 or 4 chords, no 5 or 6, no?
however, I'm sure there is a bunch more, more than I can think of now.... :S ....maybe I'll add some more later!

I already have benefited! I printed out the chords and lyrics to Summer of 69 and Living on a Prayer and learned them this afternoon! Woohoo! Super fun!

The first song I learned, way back when the Dead Sea was just sick …
“Lucky Man” by Greg Lake … (not to be confused with “Lucky Man” by The Verve)
G, D, Am, Em – what could be simpler?
Sure there are others but it’s my “go to” song when my fingers are numb (as in cold) and I’m not sure why but it’s automatically the first thing I strum when I’ve just changed strings and I first tune the guitar.

Great idea for a thread Shel. Some cool tunes there. I like "Peaceful easy feeling" and It's all over now Baby Blue" along with "Please forgive me" by David Grey. I'm sure with more effort some others may spring to mind."You can't always get what you want" is a new favourite of mine and real easy.
