Pierre,

That was great! I hadn't heard that song in probably 15 years and it sure brought back some college memories. I actually prefer how you sang it cos I always thought the original was sung freakishly-low (and, believe me, I LIKE low voices!). Did you change the key or just move it up an octave?

Yay!!! Great job Pierre! :)

Great addition! I have to say this has always
been a BIG favorite of mine. A lot of folks dismiss crash test dummies as a novelty act band...that just had a few great hits.
I think they are so much more than that. They are a: a novelty act, with great hits, and also happen to be truly talented original artists.

I thought you did really fantabulous!!
Don't know what else to say other than it was really fun!!

I agree with Suzi about the college memories on this tune as well!
Reminds me particularly of the friend who turned me onto their FIRST album.
Even the backdrop reminds of college...everybody had those. And right next to it would have been a little incense burner and probably some picture of a bearded wizard or Tolkien-esque forrest gnome or something. The early & mid nineties was an era where everything sorta seemed to co-exist at the same time.
And college students had a way of stealing & appropriating things they deemed cool from other eras... hence, the tapestries, tie-dyes & incense!

Sorry, for the tangent, man! Great job! & thank!
Pierre, have you ever heard "when I go out with artists"? Another song of their's I like a lot!

Jim, nice to see you again. Van Morrison has some great songs and you got the spirit.
Ness and Corina, another beautiful song, as usual. Great fun .
Chris you know how to tell a story. It could be writen nowadays without changing a word.
Pierre, I believe it's you. It's the same soul getting cold now. Singing about Tarzan and Superman. Hummm.... It is you, alright... :)

Nice job Pierre! Did it get colder in Montreal... made you dress up? :-) Nice back-drop too? Is there some blue-screen effect there?

Yes Michele, I have one more very simple song keeping to the theme of getting as much as you can out as few chords as possible. This time with 4 chords. Most of it is just picking 4 notes (x2) from D(5) and then 4 notes (x2) from G(5), back and forth followed by a A and an C and back to G. U2's Running to Stand Still.

Recording schedule:
18:00 plug in guitar, roll camera
18: 05 in the bag
18:30 Upload to TG.

Pierre,
Great job on a great song! Your voice fits this on nicely. Well done!

Chris,
Beautiful job. Amazing how picking some notes out of a few chords (coupled with a great voice), can be so wonderful!

Chris, that was truely lovely. The simple playing really allowed your beautiful voice to shine through. Sad.

Thanks for being such a good sport.

Oh... The umpire will probably be along shortly to tell you whether you've met the thread per-requisits. It seems I can't count either B) :P :silly: and I'm too much of a softy. Ahhh.. Well what the heck, it's all good as far as I'm concerned, (number of chords that is). Hey I'm learning one with 13 chords and numerous slash chords, so like 25 or something. Do you think the umpire would notice if I snuck that one in? B) :P ;) (oh...actually I've only got the first verse and chorus down... ).

Oh I just noticed that the umpire has already been. You've done well. :). Woo Hoo.

Beautiful.

Shel
