Thanks to everyone for both watching and commenting on my video. I know how much we’re all enjoying this thread and it was fun to be a part of it.
Jim- I have a very soft spot for those early 80s hits. I jokingly threatened Cori that I was going to post Maneater by Hall and Oates. But this song is slightly less cheesy.
Shel- Well, you were the true inspiration for me posting this! I bet you didn’t know the monster you were creating when you started the thread on “easy” songs. For me, it inspired me to add a few more “easy” songs to my arsenal. Now I just need to have a sing along party so that everyone can enjoy them. Wanna come?
Willem- thanks for your kind words. I’m really glad you liked it! I really enjoyed your vid, too!
Dennis- thanks so much for the really kind words. The strum on this song was definitely a bit tricky for me and it took many iterations before I could (relatively) comfortably sing without letting the strum distract me. But it was a lot of fun to work on, so I certainly didn’t mind.
Daryl- Thanks! And an extra thanks to you for actually starting this busking thread! It’s been a lot of fun.
Cori- Thanks, I thought this song was pretty tubular!

You are totally welcome to take “Land Down Under” and do something with it. I’d love to see what you and Krista manage to make of it. As for a translation of “chunder,” well, maybe you should ask one of the Aussies!
Craig- Right back at you, Mr. Classical Gas! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. It was certainly fun to do.
MJ- Oh, yeah, I LOVED “Freeze Frame” (that was the “paint” video. That band knew how to make an entertaining music video!). Thanks for your compliments.
Stu/art- I’m happy that you enjoyed my bit of “rawking out.” And to show how much I liked your sweet words about my playing and singing, I’m right now throwing you the horns! (Now where is the metal-head emoticon when you need it?) I’m glad you liked that little lick at the beginning. Your video of the Ballad of Serenity encouraged me to try to add something like this to my song (generally I avoid most “lead” playing, as you know).
Chris- Thanks so much! But you’ll have to ask Tony, Chas and Pierre when the illustrative inlay will be available. I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one eagerly awaiting it!
Marc- I’m glad you have been enjoying this thread along with the rest of us. I’d love to see you add something to it!
Bob- I’m glad you liked this! Thanks for the compliment on my vocals. They are a work in progress.
Pierre- Glad you liked- and thanks for the inspiration!
