Willem,

I think this might be one of the best things you've posted. I'd have to go back and check of course as to whether it's my favourite, but it was just great all around and right up there. It's a great motto for learning the guitar and life in general.

Great addition to this thread.

Fab!

I swear this is my last upload for a while (except for the 2nd take of this song with full production which I will upload right after this one).

Three chords ( E A and B ) just like Buddy's latest addition....

Daryl,

This is very cool. I think it's the first time I've seen you strumming with a pick. I loved the percussive strum and the driving feel you've given the song, cool.

I was listening hard and I really like your voice on this.

I found the full production clip very cleaver, but a bit overwhelming (but I'm like a bear with a sore head at the moment). I think I would rather see you use a mic to amplify your voice and add it to the solo strumming, which is already very cool.

The lick at the end was AWESOME! You sure have skills my friend.

Very cool.

BTW - if you get the urge to post another... don't resist; you are not overexposed.

Thanks Michele!! You're too kind...this is easily the craziest thing we've attempted. (At one point it occurred to me it might be getting out of control when
I realized we were COSTUME-ing?...like one of Krista.'s community theatre productions. Lol! SEE WHAT YOU'VE STARTED? If I start developing an eccentric Elton John meets- Kim Jong Il- type wardrobe I am holding you personally responsible. Lol! But right now it's just a little grunge. But, I will probably have to go through a Steve Martin (The Jerk) phase...followed by a John Barrymore(pajamas & cigarette holder phase)...followed closely by a glammed-out, Elton phase.

'Nuff shenanigans... Thanks so much for being so nice! And all the kind stuff you said!
Krista does have quite a range vocally. I went ahead and sang because she told me it was good enough for grunge! Lol!
On the guitar playing, I was proud of her for never really having that much experience with it...she hit a pretty good clanger at the end of that second chorus... But hell its grunge and it's busking right?

Thanks Again, Michele!

Edit: I forgot to say... I hope you get to feeling better.

To all of you who have posted in the past few days - when I was dumb enough to go away and lose all track of what was going on - great to see so many fine performances of some classic songs. Buddy, Marc, Cori & Krista, Willem and Daryl - I doff my hat to you all! Great to see the momentum of the thread being maintained.

Well, so far we've seen videos from; Michele, Daryl, Willem, Vanessa, Marc, Mark, Suzi, Stuart, Pete, Jim, Pierre, Vanessa, Dennis, Buddy, Chris, Craig, and Krista & I. (16 performers) Yay!!!

So if you haven't thrown something up (you know who you are) you might wanna join in on the fun?

It would be WAY, WAY beyond awesome to get: some new folks, ones that haven't posted in a long/ REALLY long time, ( ex.Brad, Hydro, Jeff, Ken, Dean, Jay. Beaker, Matt, Mike, Dan, Jerry, Rick, Chas), or some that have never posted (ex. Bill) in this awesome thread...like Kevin said, "We'll be a good audience. We promise!"

Well, that was my pitch.

P.S. I know I am leaving out like a ga-zillion!!

It's nice to see that the encouragement fairies have been in while I've been sleeping. :) :) :). (especially since I feel I need to post again before I can get my stick out again and poke people. - like big bears :) ).

Daryl - that MUST be it.

BTW Cori - I notice you have Nessa in the list twice. Not that I'm complaining there are all sorts of reasons why it's appropriate, just saying. :)

Naaaaa...I wouldn't say there is an infinite number. But, what we've got so far is just a drop in the bucket. There are lots and lots of 'em out there. Especially four chord songs!
I think we'll have plenty to keep us busy. Lol.

EDIT: haha...yeah, I miss counted the names apparently. Lol! Even though like you say, she outta be counted at least twice! Lol!
