Holy Smokes!!! As the kids say these days..."That was BEAST!" Totally bad-ass!! Dennis! :) :) Now that was a double shot of the hard stuff in a dirty glass! (just what we needed.)WOW! Thanks for the introduction to the tune...it was a very cool one indeed!
What a unique performance! What a thread! No chance, in this thread running out of steam. Not with performances like that. :)

P.S. Were you playing up in a loft at your home?...looked like a nice cozy little getaway.

Dennis,
Rock-n-Roll man, Rock-n-Roll. Two chords maybe, but the little riff and lick make it totally cool! Your choice of song always catches me a little off guard, and always leaves a smile on my face! Great job!

Dennis,

I like the sound and look of that electric guitar! Is it new(ish)? Very cool. Also a very cool song and even though it may have only 2 chords, the licks throughout sure make it sound a lot more complicated than that. It's a definite step above Horse With No Name!

Before I get into the thank-you's, a note about the guitar. It's a new Epiphone '56 Reissue Les Paul, and I bought it from our very own TGMatt. Remember when he was selling a bunch of instruments. I jumped all over the Epi. I'm running it through an effects pedal and into a little 5-watt Bugera amp. and recording directly into my iPad. If I had it to do over again, I would have used a mic so that I could add reverb to my voice. It sounds really flat to me next to the guitar's reverb. This song just cries out to be recorded in Michele's shower.

Willem: I don't usually alert the community when I buy a new guitar, but you're exactly right ... it's new and I've never recorded with it before.

Daryl: This is the song I was debating recording when I did Heartbreak Hotel. And yes, only two chords in this one: Em and Am.

Chris: I've never actually seen a donkey's yonk, but from what I've seen in photographs, I imagine it's a pretty long span of time.

Buddy: Thanks. Even at my age, a guy's gotta get his ya-ya's out.

Chas: Yeah, anyone who remembers the original version of this one is near to retirement age ... or a job in a wine shop.

Michele: You are just the sweetest. All the nice things you say about my videos I could just as easily say about yours. And I'm pretty sure I have. This is a hugely fun song to play and a surprising challenge coordinating the vocal with that bass thing. I honestly don't know how singing bass players (Sting, Paul McCartney) do it. Thanks for all your support, pal.

Jim: Thanks. Always happy to keep a good thread going.

Kevin: Congrats on the new guitar purchase. Hey, maybe we'll see it in a video soon?

Tom: See my comment above to Chas. This is one of the older songs posted on TG.

Cori: As always, thanks for your support. I've always wanted to be a bad-ass, but I was too busy being an ad agency executive and a wine columnist. The location where I shot the video is my living room. It's a small house with high ceilings, and I can see why you'd think it's a loft space.

Bob: I appreciate it. Thanks.

Craig: Now, what would life be if everything were predictable? It's my mission in life to come up with songs no one's expecting. Thanks, pal.

Suzi: Yeah, for a two-chord song, it's fairly action packed. Thanks for stopping by.
