You know, Jim and I are just practical, whenever it’s the weekend and we have time, we tend to record and post something! ;)

Anyway, alright alright alright, I promise, this will be my last upload for this thread! :S :silly:

However, I was inspired by Jason’s ‘Doolin Dalton’, so I went throught my Eagles-songbook, I so LOVE The Eagles, and just played a whole bunch of songs and suddenly I remembered that I had recorded this particular song (on a digital recording workstation) a while ago and it actually has, believe it or not, just three chords, D-C-G :woohoo: !!!! I still have to make up for another one you know! :P

Then again, it has uh  …..a whóle bunch of harmonies……so this is the closest that I will get when it comes down to a 'multitracked'-video of mine. But for this song, you just got no choice…

However, still the leadvocals wich are too low for me, are sung by a friend, who is a singer/musician. We have performed this song on many occasions together. Anyway, I wanted to perform it on another occasion wich was without him , so he was kind enough to record it for me. All the other vocals I added myself. You may count how many are in there!

Two guitars, one electric-guitar, one steelstring, the latter I muted and played ‘live’ while recording this vid. I obviously sing one harmony-part as well (and muted the recorded one), again you may guess wich one it is, haha, if you can’t hear it, then the balance is exactly right! :P

Recording it wasn’t easy though, I have bad hearing and didn’t use headphones…and it’s uptempo wich makes me wanna move, but then I can’t hear it…….pfffff :S :( …...ooooh I’ll quite the rambles… :) :)

Anyway, truly hope you’ll enjoy!

Seven Bridges Road - The Eagles

OMG!!!!!! My hero! Harmonies to die for, gorgeous playing, gorgeous presence, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS!!!!!!

If you stop posting I'm hanging up my guitar. Either that or I'm gonna travel to Holland and kick your butt in person. .... scary... yes??? :) ... I guess there's always begging :) or nagging. :) I'm sure that Cori and I can set up a very effective campaign. B) :P B) (all of that is all assuming of course that you still have more that you feel like posting on the coming weekends).

I feel the need to fill up a few pages with raving, serious raving, ultra serious endlesss raving... you get the point.

Words can not express how amazing you are Nessa.

This is such a great example of how three simple chords can be SO much more!!!!!! You've captured the essence of this thread.... AGAIN. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

BTW - I knew there was a another reason why I LOVE weekends.

My hero!

Love

Shel

Vanessa, Vanessa, Vanessa...you've done it again! Mmmmmmhhhmmm...Beautiful! :) :) :) :) :) :)
Don't you dare make this your last post in this thread!! I loved your singing on this, obviously enough, but the way you embellished those chords on this song. I had not considered playing this song but, (much like Kev's post) this another tune that I will certainly think about playing for open mic. Thank You, Thank You My Friend! I loved it!!!

P.S. You still have Dutch friends? I thought I told you to tell them that your American friends we're taking over from here on out?

Dennis- Please, DO NOT...NOT POST because of this!!! I would love to hear You and Heather & Jaime tackle this song. I am so sure Vanessa would feel the same way. Your video would certainly have its own magic! Especially if all three of you are singing LIVE harmonies...not taking anything away from Vanessa's but you know what I mean. Her's was brilliant & your would be too...of that I have no doubt!

Cori
I second this absolutely.

Den - I would LOVE to see you Heather and Jamie do this song. I can think of only 2 reasons why you might not want to post this song and about a million for why you SHOULD post it. Anything you post is bound to be different from Vanessa's and I think it would be wonderful to see another version. I'm sure it will give us all inspiration and make us consider slightly different things.

Nessa - Why on earth are you feeling bad sweetie???? There is NO reason to do so. You make everyone feel wonderful and inspired by every single post you make. PLEASE don't stop. PLEEEEEEEEEEASE. (seems I'm starting with begging :))

Vanessa, you sure did well to post this, have no doubts about it. :)

Of course it is candy for my ears, but technically there is also a lot to observe as to strumming and hammer-ons.

I'm finding myself drifting into a kind of hammer-on intensive because of some posts on this thread. Very interesting how they can dress up simple arrangements.
I'll keep watching this one for a while, I'm sure.

And I also vote to draft Dennis into following his original intent to post. Go for it !

Vanessa... that was just fabulous! And after going back and singing it with you (though I'd never heard it before) It was not at all a difficult song to do vocally or technically on the guitar... which is very, very surprising as it sounds like a million dollars! Brilliant vocals. I could here your voice twice, right. Actually it sounded like way more voices and tracks at first but I think it was just two or possibly 3 recorded voices and your live on top?

Dennis, if you don't follow through on your intention of recording your version of this, Luigi and Grog will be around shortly to persuade you, in the nicest possible way of course ;-).

Do you do "I'm So lonesome I Could Cry" I have an arrangement of it in E. Just E, A, Bminor7. It could sure use some sprucing up.
Any chance you might put that one up one of these days?

P.S. What's an Illinois boy, doing sporting the "Hook'em Horns" ?

Jim - nice job on playing guitar and harmonica. It certainly requires access to a specific part of the brain - keep up the good work.

Vanessa - very hi tec! But behind that, great harmonies and loved the smooth playing. Bit mean of you to steal Dennis's song, though!

Kevin - another song that hits you right in the bread basket. Great relaxed playing style that's a pleasure to watch and listen to.
