OKAY, Geez...ya get pissed off & go away for a little while...and now I am like light-years behind...
No non-sense here, I really do think this thread is getting BETTER, BETTER,BETTER all the time. I continue to absolutely love the surprise factor...& the quality performances that seem to be multiplying. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Kevin By thy rivers gently flowing Illinois, Illinois...Well, My fellow Illinoisan...I do so sincerely enjoy hearing you do these old Hank tunes...and you do 'em quite well. (Jerry, thanks for the lesson on Cajun culture/ pronunciations...can' wait
or part two.) That was very, very cool. Kevin. You sure you won't do "I'm so Lonesome I could Cry"? In all sincerity I would love to hear it. :) :) :) :) :) :)

Daryl- You're a force of nature that was just totally engrossing! I loved it! And a song that I've only heard like once before :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Great Job, Daryl

Michele Well played, well sung...but that is just the half of it...there's was truly something about this performance in particular for me. I felt like I was there on this one. You sung this like you meant it...but yet it was more than that too.
I'm not doing very well here Michele. Anyways, I loved it!! James Blunt never sounded so good. :) :) :) :) :) :)
All I can say is you really made me believe on this one...loved, loved it!!! :) :)

Marc I'm so glad you started posting in this thread!! Everything you have put up has been "three-four chord Busking GOLD!First of all,I love your taste in these songs... (Believe it or not I actually thought about doing both of them...great minds think alike I guess. lol) This was every bit as fun as "wild thing" and that one I about peed my pants on that one...I love seeing you do these songs. You make them look effortless even though there are places in it this that are quite deceptive...and the singing in Spanish...totally AWESOME! A song like this is putty in your hands! B) It was all 'bout the performance B) B)

Pierre Sweet, Nicely done!! :) :) :) I enjoyed being introduced to Jean Leloup. Yeah, good solid strumming & well-done overall. I really do enjoy being introduced to new artists and I like the broody kind of stuff as you described. Well-Done!!

Geez you people are supportive! I post a video that has crappy sound and distortion and is a little hard to listen to and you all are SO sweet. Thank you! I couldn't ask for a more supportive community. You really do motivate me to play more and apply myself.

So onto the specific thanks.

Willem - I'm glad you got something out of it. La la la indeed :) thanks.

Craig - Thanks. I know what you mean about strumming up the neck. I assume it's because the strings are shorter and vibrate through a smaller arc. They start to become more like a mandolin I'm assuming and therefore need a little more energy to keep them vibrating. I'm guessing of course. I will put up the lyrics and progression soon too. It's a fun song to play.

Nessa - I'm blown away by your response. You REALLY made my day. You've definitely inspired me to try harder, to stretch myself, try new things and face my fears. You show me what's possible and where I'd like to be some day when I grow up. OK I intend to never completely grow up, but I want to be a muso like you some day. Thank you. :) :) :)

Daryl - You're such a sweet man. Thank you. And...what... no post this weekend? I think you're holding back.

Marc - thank you! Such nice things to say. I'm looking forward to watching La Bamba - I'm sure it's fun.

Jason - so sweet. Thank you. The guitars on its way to you. I've been using a Blue Snowball USB mic. Sometimes it's good, something's it all goes to hell - yep then I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting a good undistorted sound. B) I really need to find a better set up.

Den - you always know how to make me feel good about my playing. Thanks for your unending support and great advice. You're a gift.

Stu - emoticons. B) Wow! That is a compliment. I love getting responses from you. What's next? What do you suggest?

Suzi - Thanks sweetie. It's nice to know that You don't always know the songs that are posted. James capos at the 8th fret. I can sing it in Eb but in D the guitar sound a little fuller. I'd love to hear you play this if you work on it.

Chris - thanks - that's so nice to hear. And now we are past 10,000. Your contributions have sure assisted with that number.

Jim - thanks - to night, the role of the F-word is being played by "flying" in this version. :) the cursing thread confirmed my decision to keep it clean. Give it a go.

Kevin - hot as a cup of tea eh??? What a sweet thing to say to a tea loving woman. The rest of your response is pretty darn sweet too. Thank you.

Buddy - thanks - I'm very happy to make you smile.

Bob - thanks - nice compliment.

Pierre - thank you so much. Yes the 2/3rds rule. I know it well. I'll be listening to your post soon too. Fun!

Cori - that got to be one of the best compliments I've ever received about my playing. Thank you. Hey - the weekend is gone and no post from you and the lovely Krista - what's the sory? :)

Thanks everyone. Your comments are very motivational.

Marc - another GREAT video. ThaT was lots of fun. Loved the singing, loved the Spanish, loved the energy and Oh my what fast switches. Smoking'! Fantastic indeed!

Pierre - Pure spirit. That was great. I sure hope youi find them. I loved the energy and passion you put into this.

German, panish and French too. This is turning into an international feast. Perhaps the Ductchies will be along soon with some home grown songs sung in THEIR home tongue.

Pierre,

If the guy is continually going to lose his baby and his friends like that, maybe he should be tested for Alzheimer's. Misplacing things is an early sign of trouble.

I really enjoyed the song and liked what you did with it -- and I very much appreciate the translations. You could easily turn this song into an open-mic performance for an appreciative bilingual crowd.

Someone should start a Busking Foreign-Language Songs thread -- maybe we can get the Aussies to contribute something.

Pierre,
I really liked that. Your playing was solid. Not being familiar with the song, I listened to the original and man, you nailed it, playing and singing. I also enjoyed your "working Class Hero"... now I'm starting to wonder if I'm a tortured poet at heart!
Well done,

Craig
