Ahhhh... The weekend slips by and this thread sneaks off. Well obviously it's because all of the four chord songs have been included. Right?? :) the foreign language four chord songs must be all up by now too. Abilio? Willem?, Ness?, Anton?, Pierre?, Pierre's fish?, Lil40?, Snoopy?, temo (actually the last three seem to be missing in action). Maybe all the remaining songs suck. :) Well I for one would love to hear more songs that I can't understand a word of, feel free to channel Joe Cocker too. :)

I'm working on a couple of possible candidates and hope to be back soon. Til then ... I have a suggestion to any of you that are tempted to post but are holding back ... GIVE IN! Resistance IS futile.

Shel.

I really feel with you,,looking back what was uploaded (on the tube) , I came aware it is very difficult to find by the real title,,I was inspired by many so I want to look back and don't want to go thru all the pages here...so maybe its better to busk under the real title (i did'nt say this, )

I sure want to do an Dutch song and work on it,,its a song thats never bin away form my mind,it always comes back but never played it so i have to practice and hope it happen one day..

I'm cheating here just a tad. This one isn't 4 chords (it's actually 6 chords) but it really is a VERY easy song and should be part of a campfire set.....hope you all don't mind ...I'll speak to the ref myself....wish me luck.... :(

Hel(A)lo Mary Lou (D)goodbye heart
Sweet (A)Mary Lou I’m so in love with (E7)you
I (A)knew Mary Lou (Db7)we’d never (F#m)part
So hel(B7)lo Mary (E)Lou goodbye (A)heart (D) (A)

She (A)passed me by one sunny day
(D)Flashed those big brown eyes my way
And (A)ooh I wanted you for ever (E7)more
(A)I’m not one who gets around
(D)Swear my feet stuck to the ground
And (A)though I never (E)did meet you be(A)fore

I said….
Hel(A)lo Mary Lou (D)goodbye heart
Sweet (A)Mary Lou I’m so in love with (E7)you
I (A)knew Mary Lou (Db7)we’d never (F#m)part
So hel(B7)lo Mary (E)Lou goodbye (A)heart (D) (A)

I (A)saw your lips I heard you voice
(D)Believe me I just had no choice
Wild (A)horses couldn’t make me stay a(E7)way
I (A)thought about a moonlit night
(D)Arms around you good and tight
That’s (A)all I had to (E)see for me to (A)say (D) (A)

Hey hey…
Hel(A)lo Mary Lou (D)goodbye heart
Sweet (A)Mary Lou I’m so in love with (E7)you
I (A)knew Mary Lou (Db7)we’d never (F#m)part
So hel(B7)lo Mary (E)Lou goodbye (A)heart (D) (A)

Yes hel(A)lo Mary (E)Lou goodbye (A)heart (D) (A)
Hel(A)lo Mary (E)Lou goodbye (A)heart (D) (A)

Uh.......

Well i actually really like the song, it's a fun one, around a campfire I always add Bye Bye Love to it, works just perfect!

Anyway, really enjoyed this vid, I have to speak to the ref first of course :P , but I'd say I don't mind at all, very well done Daryl!

Ness

I had to add Stuart's "Bring It On Home To Me" from the "Busking Motown" thread because it is a FANTASTIC 3 chord song and needs to be here for completeness (and he said it was OK to add it here).....

Great job on this old Ricky Nelson classic, Daryl. This used to be one of my favorite songs back in the day.

Good choice, Daryl ... thanks for the lesson. I played along a bit, and find that there's room for experimenting with a country strum here.
That is, down with the middle finger, and up with the index ... very fun coordination exercise !

Pierre

PS: I'll be getting back to you soon about the AVS file !
