If at first you don't succeed.
Try doing it the way your wife told you!

They laughed at me because I'm different;
I laughed at them because they are all the same.

Don’t let the world change your smile, let your smile change the world.

There used to be 7 Oil companies there are now 3 it will soon be 2, the things that matter have been reduced in choice: there are 2 political parties, there are a handful of insurance companies, there about 6 or 7 when it comes to news (today its about 5) but if you want a bagel there’s a choice of 23 flavors… you have the illusion of choice!

Here's a quote from Arlo Guthrie:

"In a world that was perfect ... everybody had money, everybody drove a BMW, or something ...
nobody was homeless, nobody got sick, everything was wonderful, everybody was smart and everything, happy all the time ...

You'd have to go an awful long way out of your way to make a difference in this world.
You'd have to do a whole hell of a lot to try and improve the way it was.

But in a world that SUCKS ! Like this one ! You don't have to do very much at all !

There was never a moment in the history of the world where you could do so little, and get so much done !

You could do more with a little smile, just hold somebody ... say hello to somebody ...
or just feel good by yourself, even when you don't feel like feeling good."

This specific spiel is at about 10 min into this video, if you're interested.
He does start his monologue earlier in the tune, which makes for an interesting take on "Amazing Grace".

Cosmicmechanic,

Thank you so much for posting that A.G. video! I really enjoyed it with a nice cup of coffee on my Saturday morning...

"No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

NELSON MANDELA, Autobiography

Imagine all the people
living life in peace.
