Daryl,
That was amazing! Great playing and technique. I found myself humming that song all day long. :)
Even if you don't think it's up to Tommy's level, you could play that in front of anybody and impress the heck out of them!!
It's great to see that others are tackling some of his songs.

Thank you. It's really a fun song to play. Good little tune. Good bass line. Just need to get that rhythm player and drummer to play along with me! They really don't want to. :-(

Are you working on any other Tommy tunes?

Well I thought it was very well done! You played it quite smoothly, sounded very nice over here!

Would like to have the tab please! :) :) :)

Well done Daryl!

Thank you. I know I can play it better. Just wait and see! I've got to somehow learn to play more slowly when the camera is on.

Here is a site with lots of TE tabs: http://tommyemmanuel.wordpress.com/gitar-tabok/

Let me know if you can't get to the site. Also, I'd love to see you do some Tommy tunes. Maybe???

Good. Will you give "Blue Moon" a try? And upload it too? Do any other Tommy tunes strike your fancy?

Hi Daryl, you sure have my respect for having got this fine result. Not that you didn't have it before, it's just that I wasn't aware of other tunes you have posted (even if quite intricate) actually being a challenge for you, as this one is. Much appreciated !

I remember that Chris put up a thread a while back that was just for this purpose, that is, bringing a new video to our attention when it pops up kinda buried in a busking thread. I'd post a link to it here, but can't find the thread at the moment. It does take some discipline to do systematically, but could that be a solution ? Can anyone in TG land find that thread ?

Hi Pierre. Thank you kindly. I think everything one plays is a challenge of one sort or another. This one was/is particularly challenging because it's like playing two pieces at the same time. And of course Tommy is playing 4 pieces at the same time (and smiling all the while!).

Regarding Chris's "hey there's a new video uploaded" thread: Yeah, I know about it, but I feel awkward "tooting my own horn"....."hey everybody go look at my new video!".....that's just not me. I did try to create a new busking thread "Busking Tommy Emmanuel's Blue Moon" so people would know there's something new, but the busking uploader didn't work as expected. :-(

Daryl,

Just saw this. That was awesome playing! Relaxed and professional. Really nicely done.

Hi Mike, Thank you. I'm not sure that I would call it professional though. I hope to make it better. Stay tuned......

Well I actually really don't know much of TE, I'm the singing kind of type and for that not much into instrumentals. However, once in a while I do like to play some of it and I liked this one because of the moving bassline, which I find cool. So yeah, I'll give it a try, buttuh......it'll take some time.... :S ;)
