Or ... Perhaps Chas is replacing they with cartoon caricatures of all of us, Neil in the middle, the rest of us gazing adoring at him, Ness with superhero cape, Dermot scribbling crazy pictures, Tony in SRV stance with hat and guitar (only).

Or... He could be composing a TG rock opera.

Hey Chas - all good natured hassling aside, it occurs to me that there may be something serious happening in your life that puts posting a banner video WAY at the bottom of the list in terms of 'how important is it?' I sincerely hope that's not the case and that it's just 'life's busy' stuff.

Either way, one way you could get the banner moving again and still take the time you need to complete your video would be to film or photograph yourself signing the banner, or holding the signed banner, posting the banner to Tony to allow him to do his magic and then make your video when you've got time. You could post your photos now and your video later.

HI team, apologies had a few issues to deal with recently, moving house and new job being a major part; but then on top of that my PC died and went to heaven and I couldn't resurrect by Back up from the external drive which had a lot of my stuff on it. So got a new PC an HP touchscreen so had to get used to using that and low and behold it never rains but it pours... My Wife decided to update last week to Windows 8 and b$%^#r me its not compatible with my Cam, Move making software nor my sound software and it can't read my video project that I'd completed to date. Also had some health issues to deal with on top of that, nothing really serious but enough to incapacitate me for a while.

Most issues have been resolved and normal service should be resumed very shortly.

PS My Wife also suggested to just sign take a photo and move it along ( I think she might be getting fed up with me and TG actually, so also backed off from the site and not on here as much nor playing my guitars as I think that P87s%6$ her off just slightly...)

So Willem you get your wish the Banner post is now back on top, keep it that way and that will help with some traction lol

I haven't had it for 3 months , got it , sent it to Dennis for his guitar camp, got it back then due to other issues as previously mentioned couldn't do much at all. I had started last week making a vid but then had to go away for a week to my daughters 21st just back and onto it again in what spare time I have at present (not a lot though due to festive season looming and my store's business quadruples between now and christmas day) All going well it will be on its way to Tony soon folks

I'm not making it up Chas, it's all over page 29 when you received it, exactly three months ago. Dennis' camp was in july (or was it august? :dry: , whatever...), it's almost december now.... :S

Hey Chas,

Don't forget that you could record yourself signing the banner, send the banner to Tony and then complete you banner video and upload it when you're able to. Hey, if you wear the same shirt for the signing and the playing no one will ever know that it wasn't done in the same sitting. Shhhh... It will be our secret. I won't tell anyone if you don't. B)

To be honest, all the fun of the world travelling banner has been killed dead the past few months by holding on to it so long. I had it for about 6 hours before it was on its way again... admittedly it was hand delivered and whisked away by Marc himself! Really, this needs to be a lesson to all, you can't hog the banner for weeks on end when dozens of other members would love to join in the fun too.

Well first of all my apologies again, I concede it has been a while.

However, I thought the banner was about community and us sharing not the actual banner; that's the reason I sent it on to Dennis so a group of TG'ers getting together could share, so people its going to cost me twice to pass this on, wasn't that community spirit?. Seems I might have been mistaken I also alluded to PC issues (still not resolved so the video I'm making is being done with a crappy webcam and its audio, and all my guitars sound alike through that, although that could be my playing effort lol!) I also mentioned work issues, hey it's the 'silly season here and I'm doing 12 -14 hr days, unlike some I don't live , eat and breath guitar and music even although Id love to!. I also mentioned health issues (didn't go into detail as I wasn't soliciting a sympathy vote) and you know... for the size of this community only one person got in direct contact to ask how I was. Again not looking for sympathy as I am aware of other TG'ers with worse ailments than myself, who are often inspirational and help others here with how they get around health issues and freely share how they do this.

To take a picture and do something later is a cop out and to be honest if I did that I'd probably never follow up; having this reminder of the community sitting on my computer desk is a great motivator for me.

So all in all a bit disappointed with some of the reactions here given I've already said it will be going to Tony soon, so patience guys. Hey the banner is a piece of vinyl and ink, its what it represents a symbol of a caring, sharing community, if I'm wrong about that then maybe TG has changed even more than I thought.
