Capo on the 1st fret --> Therefore key of G# (but there are some out of key chords thrown in there).

Yes, I was thinking "G". And I tuned my guitars before I recorded. Does something not sound right?

sometimes I get a bit confused,,,chords in Gmaj are ,,G-Am-Bm-C-D-Em-Fdim..

Those are the chords in the key of G major (except I think it should be F#dim not Fdim). But one doesn't have to ONLY play those chords in a song.....
