Ten Years After guitarist Alvin Lee has passed on. If you loved his seminal song “I’d Love to Change the World” (one of our Target lessons) you realize what a talented guitarist he was.
He was 68 and died after a minor surgical procedure. Tough way to go.
Thanks for all the great music Alvin! Rest in Peace!!

What a sad story, a minor op finishes a great musician !
There's something ironic about that !!
I'd love to change the world ..... for him !!
RIP Alvin Lee

I thought he was absolutely AWESOME on Woodstock....!
Don't know much of his work, but lately I've been playing 'the Bluest Blues' with some friends....
However, another great musician is gone now....

Very sad.....
I did not know too much about Alvin until Neil put up the lesson on "I'd love to change the world" way back when. Since then, I have grown to love most of his work. Not only his work with Ten Years After, but his solo stuff and even an album he did with Mylon LeFevre entitled "On the Road to Freedom". What a talented guitarist and musician..... He will be missed....
