Great video Bart, I really enjoy seeing where folks live and hearing about the places. Lovely version of that song, nicely played and very nicely sung. The impression you give on the forum has been confirmed by your video, your the kind of guy I'd love to sit down and jam with.

Just one thing, this was Arizona and Phoenix right? where were all the UFOs?! ;-)

Bart,

Great job on editing the video! Now that you're an expert and I expect lots of uploads from you!! Especially with that wonderful voice of yours. And your guitar playing ain't too shabby either!

Way to go, Bart. Loved every part of the video, including the guided tour. I grew up in southern California, but I spent three happy years living in Tucson. I miss Arizona, especially now that it's winter in Seattle. Anyway, terrific playing and singing. Ness is absolutely right: you need to post some videos.

Bart,

Good work on the video. Has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds like Hoyt Axton's? If you get a chance, listen to "Della and the Dealer" (my favorite of his songs) and "Bony Fingers", and then listen to your video to compare.

Thanks for the tour of AZ.

Hey Bart,

I sure enjoyed your banner video!! You made me laugh out loud with your "Hey, what's that!" reaction to the banner in the desert. That was great :) Really liked hearing you play a classic Jim Croce song. Your voice is so pleasant to listen to. Like the others, I'd encourage you to post more videos for us! How about joining in on the fun in the "Answering Machine" challenge? I bet you could come up with something really nice.

The desert sure looks beautiful right now. You mentioned that you're originally from the Midwest. Where abouts? I currently live in Madison, Wisconsin and it's about 10F right now with a windchill of -5F. Not exactly "spring" feeling. So it made me happy to see the beautiful foliage by you.

Bart:

It was very nice to put a face to the name finally.... ;)

My wife's father lives in Surprise, AZ (just a bit north of you I think). And all of us (my wife and two sons) were heading there for spring break in a week and a half. Sadly, work has gotten a bit crazy for me so I will not be making the trip with them. Like Chris mentioned, you certainly seem very personable and an opportunity to sit and jam a bit would be grand someday....

I really admire your playing and singing abilities. The music room is very nice as well. You have become more and more active in the forums, and it has been great to get to know you (as it is online). So glad you were able to get on the banner list and have it pass through your home. Hopefully we will see more of you, now that you are a posting pro....

Way to go Bart! …

You did an excellent job with your Banner Tour contribution.

You hit all the notes (no pun intended) Signing the banner, a little chat, an excellent musical interlude (super Jim Croce btw) all followed by a tour around the spot on this earth you call home.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire video.

Thanks for sharing,

Hello again to all of you great responders in TG land! Thank you all so much for the kind words and encouragement! I would put smiley faces on the page for how much I appreciate your kind words but I would run out of room for sure :) :) :) :)

Remember the old saying, "It Takes A Village". Well, we are all the village and the encouragement and well wishes that happen on this site help all of our players get better & are unlike anywhere else. Great stuff!

Craig - Thanks and yes, the banner is on it's way to the next participant. Can't wait to see what Auntie Lynn does for us all.

Michele - So glad you enjoyed the video! You should know that in the year or so I have been enjoying this site, I have watched you grow in confidence and ability more than anyone else I can think of. You are very confident in front of the camera now and never afraid to throw out a challenge :) You certainly don't need my skills to travel through the eithernet, you have plenty of your own! Thanks for the kind words..

Bob - I like the fact that I don't have to shovel sunshine like you do snow :cheer: Having the banner in my home was a real honor. Just thinking at all of the places it has been makes me wish I could have traveled with it.

Tony - Thanks for the compliment! Next time you pass through this part of the world, we will have a few of those corona's together! I won't even try to guess which mexican restaurant you were at. There are just way too many to choose from here. From authentic to the tex-mex that folks in Texas have. The food is excellent.

Jim - Thank you too! Yes, I am a baseball fan. I actaully watched "The Natural" with Robert Redford late last evening. Spring training in Arizona is fabulous now. We have 15 or 16 teams that come in. In fact, the 2 from Ohio, Cleveland and Cincinnati built their new spring training facility just down the road from my community. You can really get up close and personal with the players during this time of year. (Although I am really a St. Louis Cardinal fan and they still go to Florida for spring training)

Ness - Not even sure what to say to you except THANKS and that you inspire me with every one of your video posts! My excuse for not uploading more video's (since you ask) is that I borrowed the camera from a friend for the weekend. Still don't have one of my own that is up to date. My old VHS I used when my kids were small has long since retired :) Yep, TG in the desert, it's everywhere, it's everywhere!!!

Willem - We can always count on you for a positive response. Thanks for the kind words and keep working on that J.T. song. Can't wait to see it posted in the near future.

Chris - So glad you enjoyed the song and the tour! Heck yea we can jam together. How about the TG Camp in September??? BTW, the UFO's are still here, I would just need to do a night video (and a case of Corona) for you to see them :woohoo:

Daryl - Thanks again for the help getting the video posted & for the compliments. Like your latest challenge post, you don't need to answer your phone anyway, you are quick to respond online :side:

Dennis - Glad you enjoyed it. Not sure how long ago it was since you spent your 3 years in Tucson? Did you know that there are over 1 million folks down there now? AZ keeps growing... Spring is just around the corner (actually starts today) so the sunshine is on it's way my friend. Even for Seattle.

Hydroman52 - Hoyt Axton. No, no-one has ever mentioned that comparison before. I do remember in my younger years, seeing him on the Beverly Hillbilly show once performing that song. On utube, they speak about his appearance on WKRP show but not the Hillbillies. Anyway, I enjoy hearing him sing so I will take that as a compliment. Thanks! Maybe my next post will be Della and the Dealer?

Tom - I am thinking that a lot of us on the site have much the same taste in music. Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you enjoyed the tour.

Suzi - Buuuur, sounds cold in Madison. Wish I could ship you some warm air! I am from Illinois originally. Spent all of my growing up years there, but have also relocated several times throughout Indiana before heading to the Wild West. I am still a huge Indianapolis Colts fan :) Thanks for tuning in and yes, I have a telephone answering machine song in my head. Guess I need to go back and get that borrowed camera...

Jason - Yes sir, Surprise is on the Northwest side of Phoenix. Very close to the lake pleasant that was on my video. If it works out that you do get to travel in with your wife and children, let me know and we will get together and jam. that would be great! We would only be about 45 minutes apart and I have plenty of guitars so you don't even need to travel with one if you don't want to... Call me :)

Ken - Thanks and you all have made it a lot easier for those of us at the tail end of signing the banner. You guys have had so many great banner signing video's that it's like a roadmap for doing them now. I was not brave enough to take the camera and film while I was driving a car, like a few folks in Austrailia and New Zealand did though.
