Jason – Thank you. It’s interesting what the song/sound brings to your mind. Building progress has slowed considerably with the cold. L

Cori – Thank you. I think it works “as is” too. That’s why I posted the one-take no effects video. I’m not sure what will come out next. Perhaps you and Krista could put a melody and lyrics together for me about something warm and breezy?

Bob – Thank you. It’s time we see you again too.

Kevin – Thank you. I love watch YOU play too. How ‘bout an upload from you?

Craig – Thank you. And I hear you – “little to no clutter”. I just have to find the melody and words.

Tom – Thank you. A happy tune? That’s not what I’m hearing. No title as of yet.

Bart – Thank you. What were you humming? Did you find a melody for me? And some lyrics? If so, please post it/them!

Michele – Thank you. What story do you hear? Please share.

Dean – Thank you. Do you hear a melody? Want to give it a shot?

As you can all probably tell, I’m at a loss for the lyrics and melody so any help would be appreciated. In fact, I’d love to see (and hear) the many different melodies and stories some of you are hearing.

And I’d love to see more video uploads from you all. The forum has been quite quiet for some time now….

Hello Daryl..when I follow your playing I hear such a familair melody in my head,,I almost would sing some words but can't come up with it but its so familair..

what do you hear when you listen to your upload? There is already an melody in your chord progression,,see it almost as an chord/melody playing..

Can you give the chords and their voicings to us(me) in order you played it..

Willem

Great tune, Daryl. There are endless possibilities for this one. It will be fun to watch it grow.

Bill - Thank you. Yes, I too think there are lots of possibilities. I just need some help now.

Willem - Work at finding that melody in your head. Can you hum the melody? I do have an inkling of a melody here and there while I'm playing the rhythm and bass stuff (sort of like a chord/melody thing Neil talks about) but I don't have a completed melody.

Daryl,
Since you asked me what your song sounded like to me, this is what I hear when I listen. This is the song I was humming to your playing. Obviously, it isn't exactly the same, it is just what I think of.....

Very nice, Daryl.

Interesting chords and progression. And you played it very well of course.

Just listened again.....It must have been me that was in a happy place, because I'm hearing melancholly with sad and reflective undercurrents now.
How strange  :) Enjoyed it anyway. it has good potential.......I hear a definite melody and even some words.

Tom.

Bart, I definitely see/hear what you're saying. Maybe I can steal bits of that melody for my doodle? Thanks.

Al - Thank you. Yes, the chord voicings are interesting (and very pleasing to my ear).

Tom - Interesting how your mood affects the way you hear things. What snippets of words do you hear (and where in the video)?

I have a section at the beginning. At 13secs where the first part repeats, this is where the words would start. The first line I have is:

'Looking back over years now. I seem to wonder why,'

Days into years, nightime is a lifetime.........

I have more lines, but see if you can hear this first.
