Thanks Ya'll. I have been dreading this for a long time. At least since Neil mentioned that all of the performances would be released. Honestly it wasn't as bad as I had convinced myself that it was. I approached the open mic night with an "Oh Well" kind of attitude. Trying to not let myself get too worked up about playing to my friends. After all, you won't find a kinder audience. And I really don't have a problem with speaking to large crowds, but when I started playing my Taylor, my fingers got really dumb. Its hard to explain but I just couldn't physc myself into being calm. Looking at it now, I should have slowed down, and focused on playing clean, but Water under the bridge eh!!!

That reminds me trying to play for a few people and special the first time,,I had only to play the guitar and an other was singin,,before going on ,stage we had a little reharsel and there it happend my leg began to shake and would not stop,I stopped the reharsel to get calm, that worked, still a little nervus we got on stage and the singer began to speak to the people while I began to fingerpick my tune a bit, that worked too,,then we began to play,,but my fingers were still a bit dumb like you called it,,before we knew it to tune was happend and we got a big aplaus,,,Man was I nervus,,,
An second time I did try this it was a bit the same with the fingers,,nervus fingers,,I was glad we did this with two guitars but while the tune was going it went a bit better..

Well done, Scott. I completely understand those emotions you were going through... I always remind myself that perfoming in front of people is just like learning how to simply play the darn thing: it takes time and practice to become comfortable performing in front of an audience. Just like playing, though, all the sudden one day you're there and you got it (what a great feeling that is)! I love that song, and I enjoyed watching your performance!

Signe, what a tough instrumental to choose for your open mic.
Thanks for sharing your video, good music and good fun too.

Great to see you flying high with that difficult piece Scott.... you are, after all, a steely eyed missileman-pilot!

Chris, I've flown over the Alaska Range in the middle of the night, thru fog so thick I couldn't see the end of the wing, building ice on the airframe faster than the heaters could shed it and had to shut down one engine before it came apart, all in one flight, and I wasn't as nervous as I got playing this song. Its all relative eh?Great to see you flying high with that difficult piece Scott.... you are, after all, a steely eyed missileman-pilot!
