Neil this is a great tune and one that certainly is challenging. I have been working on the walking bass variations but am having trouble hearing how this variation works in to the tune in place of the original walking base. Would it be possible to add to this lesson how the first part and variation sound together?

That would be an interesting addition.
I've also been practicing the Variations but hadn't considered how they would fit in the arrangement.
I have the original version walking bass memorised now but it's going to take a lot
of time to play it at speed as you do in the play through, but it's getting musical, although
I don't think I'd call it "WhoDunIt" at this stage.
I started on part B last night the first 4 measures.
This is a fun part to play too.
Looking forward to the walking bass variation arrangement addition.
