I vote yes for a lesson on this song. I'd like to see in the lesson alternate fingerings to make it a little easier (much like you showed the 2 finger plus barre B).

I would take a shot at this one. It may take me a year or so to be able to play it. My thinking is, at the end of a year I may not be able to play it, but if I don't go for it, I definitely won't be able to play it! For me, just learning some new techniques and chord shapes is worth the exercise.

Is it Neil's style of teaching for the song that you all would like or is Tommy's way to hard to play and a simpler version is needed ?

Don't hide Chacho, its a valid question. The answer for me is simple. Tommy is a very flashy and accomplished ENTERTAINER, but he is not a teacher. James Taylor has info lessons, along with a lot of other artists. But nobody can instruct the way Neil can. Everyone has a different way of learning things, and Neil has the ability to present lessons in a way that seem to reach a wide array of learners. In my opinion (for what its worth) Neil is one of, if not the very best guitar instructors there is. He is so detail oriented, that he leaves no stone un-turned.

My two cents worth anyway.

I admit I clearly prefer flatpicking to fingerpicking. I think one reason I developed better at flatpicking is because literally every piece I ever tried fingerpicking, I was also able to flatpick it. Not gonna happen with Ruby's Eyes, methinks. I'd be willing to give this lesson a go, and perhaps it will force me to see it through with the fingers. Count me a yes vote.
