IGC 2016 Questions

TG started our International Guitar Camp in 2013 and now are hosting two each year, our Spring Camp at the end of April and our Fall Camp in early September.

Hi David,

Catching up on those today. We have intros from 5 people now and an email with links should go out soon. Larry has been working hard lately at getting all the workshops from previous years ready and the last of those should be up today as well. Our plan is to make all video from every year available to everyone who has attended any of the camps. This includes Al Stewart, Alex de Grassi, Muriel Anderson, Steve Palazzo and Doug Young from 2013, as well as everything from 2014 and 2015 of course.

I also will have recommendations of workshops that this year's campers should watch to be a little prepared. For example, both Doug and Jim Bruno will be doing workshops a little more advanced than last year so going through the older Alternate Tunings and Vocal ones would be a good idea if those interest you.

All these links will be in the doc soon.

Neil

Getting caught up on the video's of prior years of IGC.
Really great stuff!

Counting the days till camp, my first, and looking forward to learning and meeting all there. Albeit with a bit of nervousness and trepidation after watching the performances of last year. You guys are great!
I've NEVER performed for anyone other than just a few strums. Although I am telling myself that I WILL play at IGC. I have been working on a group of 25 or so songs over the past 2 years, some better than others. So hopefully I have a couple polished (ha more like a very rough rock) to play.

So here is kinda what I hope to gain from IGC 2016:
Better recognition and fixing my mistakes.
Finding my singing voice, in other words what song suit me better.
Being able to sing while playing. I didn't realize just how tough it is to play AND sing.
Working to overcome my greatest fear, speaking in public, in this case playing which elevates the fear even more!!

I'll be getting my intro video off to Neil in the next few days.

Dennis
