Corina checks into heartbreak hotel!

If you know of a song that you think would make a good lesson, here is the place to bring it up. As of May, 2015 we have over 800 song lessons but are always on the lookout for more. Be sure to point out what about the song makes it a good candidate, unique or unusual, a particular part that interests you, or just that you think a bunch of members would enjoy it. An embedded video would be helpful as well.

Hmmm.....Corina's nails, don't think she'll go for that, but singing?!!!! Of course!! ;)

Words, gorgeous song for sure. Actually I have a few Bee Gees songs on my list, will surely get to them, hopefully this year. My list is long. :S :)

Corina - I'll have my ukulele at camp. If you're prepared to cut the nails on your left hand, I'd be happy to show you how to play Can't Help Falling in Love on the uke. :) of course there's bound to be other Elvis songs that only have a few chords in them that might be a better first choice. I'm sure Ness could help with better recommendations as to the best Elvis songs for beginners.

So what do you say Corina? Want to join in the fun of playing as well as singing? :)

Interesting Daryl!

I have at least The Bee Gees on my list and Norah Jones. Hope to get to them this year. :)

I'm All shook up! TG is Elvis free.... Don't be cruel.... :(
I'll need some time to recover from this.... you guys and gals know where to find me, still at the Heartbreak Hotel, feeling like a Hound dog.
And although It's Now or never, and you TG-ers are Always on my mind, I'll be watching that big old Blue moon and for ever wonder why....  :(

Cheshire Cat, you're in for a special treat, or is that threat? :P B)
Bart, I'll check out one day ;)
Daryl, well done! And nice list :)
Neil, banned me from camp?! Oh noooo.... Double trouble...
Shel, cut the nails of the Crieniecat short?! oufff.... no no no no!! I'll just sing along with the Ukelele. Bettter for the instruments health and better for mine B)
( I Always liked the blooper version Ness posted, best ;) )

Guys, it'll be a Blue Christmas.... :silly: ;)
So even one of these songs is here, just under somebody else who covered it later...

And Daryl, dig deep and you might find another short lesson for another that Judy covered. I have always meant to get to a more complete lesson on it and maybe now it will happen.

As for Elvis, there is a good chance I might get to a couple of the ballads, not likely any of the 12-bar-blues ones, which are pretty generic.

Hall, Oates, & McCartney, well if you can't say something xxx (I will try to keep the jury out on some of the missing artists).

And Chris, you are still welcome at IGC. Just don't bring that crying cat of yours!

Neil

Man, Neil, I'd really love to be there, especially this year and its eating away at me  but I will be taking 4 weeks off in August as there is no work with everyone away and then it all starts up again end August beginning September so I just can't get away. :S

Need a lot of chocolate to get me through this..... washed down by a lot of ouzo on Crete!!

PS: Ness and Corina, you know where you can find asylum if you can't go to CA

Hmmm.....maybe Sinatra's 'My Way', which he btw didn't write either. Still it's very much associated to him. Or at least some of those type of ballads. Elvis, obviously, has covered many songs which were done by many many others as well, especially in his later years.

Got to be careful now, otherwise Neil and I end up, after 3+ years, actually working on the same song after all...

Ness!
That was great! The only thing you forgot was..."Thank you, thank you very much"

Bill

P.S. Loved the BeeGees tune also.
