I had the pleasure of enjoying my free lesson with Neil this past Monday (April 14). I was the winner of the monthly challenge. I've been a member of Totally Guitars for the past 2 years and the year before that was introduced to it and bought a number of the packages offered. It's been a wonderful experience having access to so many of the songs I love and have wanted to learn to play. I've played guitar for many years, but have gotten more serious about learning some of the songs of the 60s & 70s over the past 9 years or so. I've also enjoyed working on a number of instrumentals.
Neil and I spent some time getting acquainted during our lesson, and then I asked him a number of questions about technique, and how to remember songs as your repertoire grows. It was an enjoyable hour and I would recommend everyone taking the opportunity to take a lesson, whether online or in person, from Neil. As anyone knows who watches the weekly updates, Neil is very down to earth, easy to talk to, very insightful, and very encouraging. Thanks again Neil for the opportunity to be part of this community! Thanks for posting your thoughts and it was really fun spending the time and getting to know you. We obviously grew up with the same soundtrack and influences. Next time I'd like to hear you play something! Too much talking, as I see on complaints on some of my YouTube Previews.
