John Prine was on my mind this week, and on my recent playlists at home. Re-listening to a lot of his stuff, and a request from a student, led to a lesson on his last recorded song, I Remember Everything. It is a great example of his basic approach to fingerpicking and makes a great starting place for those heading into fingerpicking.

Most of this week's Update was then spent exploring instrumental attempts at a few of his songs, along with a couple recently requested. I have quite a back log of those in the lesson queue and hope to get to a few in the near future. Some of those mentioned in the News are The Weight, The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress, Pancho And Lefty, Georgy Girl, and I'll Never Find Another You.

We'll see what develops,

Neil

Neil: Just wondering if there is really a Tab for "I Remember Everything"? You seem to refer to one a number of times in that lesson, however the only Tab that is attached is one for "I'll Be Here in the Morning" by Townes Van Zandt.
